Kamil Ustaszewski
Forschungsinteressen
Tektonische Vorgänge, die das Aussehen unserer Erde fortwährend modifizieren, sind herausragende Landschaftsgärtner. Meine Forschungsinteressen gelten vorrangig der Tektonik und damit verbundener sedimentärer, magmatischer, metamorpher, aber auch geomorphologischer Vorgänge entlang konvergierender Plattenränder. Um die dort auftretende Verformung sowie ihre Rolle bei der Gebirgsbildung zu verstehen, untersuche ich geologische Verwerfungen und Scherzonen hinsichtlich ihrer Geometrie und Kinematik über mehrere räumliche Größenordnungen hinweg und in sämtlichen Krustenniveaus. Detaillierte Geländearbeit, idealerweise vervollständigt durch geologische Kartierung, bilden unerlässliche Grundlagen meiner Projekte. Daneben vertraue ich auf geophysikalische Daten zur Abbildung des tieferen Untergrunds, sowie auf verschiedene geochronologische Ansätze zur zeitlichen Erfassung geologischer Vorgänge.
