Forschungsinteressen

Mein größtes Interessensgebiet ist das vielleicht beeindruckendste aktive Gebirge, das 'Himalaya'.

Dort untersuche ich tektonische Prozesse, die eine Gebirgskette in unterschiedlichen räumlichen und zeitlichen Skalen modifizieren können. Dabei nutze ich hauptsächlich quantitative Parameter, um gleichzeitig ablaufende Prozesse im Einzugsgebiet von Flüssen oder Seen nachzuvollziehen. Zusätzlich suche ich nach alten Erdbeben mittels geophysikalischen und geologischen Methoden.
