Benjamin Schmitz
Research assistant (MSc 2015 TU Darmstadt)
I am studying recent to active tectonics by evolving balanced cross-sections based on field observations, geophysics, and remote sensing techniques. My study areas for structural investigations so far were mainly Germany, Spain (Pyrenees) and the southern Balkan peninsula (Dinarides & Hellenides). Currently I am investigating differences in the structural setup of the Southern Dinarides and Northern Hellenides. DFG-Projekt ALMONDExternal link.
